PDD_SAPHIR-L2-RH_V1_R5.pdf (updated in January 2017)

Version history:

Version 2.00: Released November 2015. 1st version for SAPHIR-L2B-RH
Version 3.00: Released March 2017. Compared to the RH estimation scheme used in Version 2.00 which relied on Normal distributions, Version 3.00 product relies on a Beta distribution as its compact support and allowance for asymmetries about the mean are more favorable for describing the relative humidity. The estimation of parameters also provides a characterization of the retrieval uncertainty of RH for every observing pixel of SAPHIR
Version 3.01: Released July 2018. In this new version, the quality flags have been re-defined in order to take into account situations where the RH values result from an extrapolation of the retrieval model, and thus can be reasonably questioned. The valid range is considered to be 25% below/above the training range of the model. Those extrapolated data are now considered as missing, and a new quality flag is introduced
