Release of SODA V2-20 and V2-21 products January 2020
AERIS/ICARE is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of the CALIPSO/CloudSat SODA products, giving access to the aerosol and semi-transparent cloud optical depths from the analysis of surface and dense clouds returns. This product originates from the collaboration between IPSL/LATMOS, NASA LaRC, and AERIS/ICARE Data and Services Center. The whole CALIPSO/CLOUDSAT period has been reprocessed.
This version uses the latest version of the algorithm (v2.3.0) and the latest input data available at the moment (CALIOP level 1 V4-10 and level 2 V4-20, CLOUDSAT R05, MODIS C6, ASMR_E v7, AMSR2 v8). The difference between the V2-20 and V2-21 versions comes from the AMSR data used:
- For V2-20: AMSR_E from 2006-06-15 to 2012-06-30
- For V2-21: AMSR2 since 2012-07-01
Please note that for the 2011-11-04 to 2012_07_01 period, there is no AMSR data available.
