ICARE programmers toolbox

ICARE developed a variety of tools to help users manipulate, analyze and visualize the data sets and formats available at ICARE. A few tools are provided by ICARE partners and distributed through this page. Feel free to use these tools. Please acknowledge the use of these tools in publications with a sentence such as “Software/tools provided by the ICARE Data and Services Center website“.

Source codes are distributed as compressed archives (.tar.Z or .tar.gz). To uncompress them, you can use :

  • “uncompress” : .Z files
  • “gunzip” : .gz files
  • “tar xzf” : tar.gz and .tgz files
  • “tar xjf” : tar.bz2 files

Dear AERIS/ICARE users,

A major electrical maintenance operation in the building that houses our infrastructure is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, early in the morning, and is expected to last all day.

AERIS/ICARE services will therefore be shut down from Monday 16:00 and the systems should be turned back on Tuesday evening. However, in the worst case, this extinction could last until early Thursday 4 morning.

All services (web, ftp, ssh) will be affected during this shutdown period.
